A payment submitted online Monday through Friday, prior to 10 p.m. Eastern time, is charged to your bank and credited to your account by the close of the next business day*.
A payment submitted online after 10 p.m. Eastern time or on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal public holiday, is charged to your bank and credited to your loan account by the close of the second business day. A payment not credited prior to the end of the payment grace period may assess a late fee. Please refer to your loan contract for specifics regarding late fee assessment.
*A business day is a calendar day other than Saturday, Sunday, or a legal public holiday.
If your payment was made after 10 pm Eastern time, or on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal public holiday, it will not be reflected in your account until the close of the second business day.
If your account is past due and you only made a partial payment to your account, the payment will not be posted until a full payment has been received.
If you hit "Submit" more than once, only one payment will be processed.
Yes, you may select the date that you would like to have your one-time payment made, as long as it is within your contractual grace period.
No. HSBC Mortgage Services does not accept mortgage payments from credit cards.
Additional funds may first be applied to any outstanding escrow, interest, late fees or charges, or may accrue towards making an extra full mortgage payment. However, you can include an extra full payment to apply to the principal for automatic payments.
